The Four Princesses Photo Shoot

Tam and I decided to surprise the nieces with dresses for Valentines Day, as there are presently only four of them. A very manageable number, so far as dresses are concerned. Ever since then I have been conspiring to get photos of them in their princess dresses, and have been held back by colds, flues, and germs in general. When today finally worked out for taking these pictures, I was thrilled. Shannon let me nab Mary for the morning, and Amber came along to pose, cue, and adjust these girlies, as well as for her brilliant photo ideas and general charisma.

If your daughters start sticking their tongues out in photos, I am to blame. The after shots were so good that I couldn't resist!

These girls were so good that I didn't need to adjust them half the time. I would just put them together, and keep clicking!

They were VERY proud of their flowers :) Diana even told me what type of flower this was!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is an imitation of what the wind might look like.

GROUP HUG!!

And they got Cocoa for being such good models. We got purchased three cocoas at Nutcakes, and had them split six ways.

Portraits in Quick Time

Someone pointed out that we didn't have any photos of Ruth and Henry on our fridge, so I had to take a few! They had a movie to get to, so I couldn't take as many photos as I would have liked. On second thought, that might have been a strategic move on their part...

A Nephew Date with James!

I gave James a certificate for going out to Dairy Queen for his BD, and yesterday he cashed it in. It seemed like a sneaky gift, since Aunt Lizzy enjoyed it as much as James did. We had fruit smoothies (his choice), and walked along the railroad tracks while we drank them.

James considering white balance (I had just explained to him why I had to take a second batch of photos).

While I was at Shannon's house I took puppy photos! This was my favorite. They are 1 week old, and very snugly right now. She posted more on her blog, here:

Good Times with Beautiful People!

In which Aunt Tammy shows Mary how to make a beautiful Dandelion crown.

Dave wanted his photo taken, too. In a manlier pose, of course.

This kid has something going in the model department.

And this kid just has something up his sleeves. Both of them.

Yes, the sun was shinning, and her overalls looked super cute with the shirt she had on, but a special coat was in question, and not to be lightly laid aside. Being Ella, she managed to look beautiful anyway :)

Jake asking to be let outside. I don't know how you ever find the strength to say "no" to this kid, Amber!

A lovely lady with gorgeous hair. If I could be guaranteed hair like this for taking my vitamins regularly, I would stop forgetting. But I noticed that the hair and nail vitamin bottle is suspiciously lacking in any such promise...

The back flip.

The catch. Actually, the ball was not caught, but the pose made up for it. She thought she had it.

*THIS* is a demonstration of a cool aerial catch.

And Jake takes up the ball.

Look! There's two of them!

THREE of them!

And they are all lookers. Children of the mountains, one might almost say.
